Category: Let's talk
Have you ever wanted to escape to somehere completely isolated your nearest neighbour can only be reached by plane or a 2 week hike..I have dreamed for years, of living somewhere like Siberia, Inverpolly or Lochinver, with nothing but wilderness, wildlife and unpredictable weather...if you were ever given the chance would you accept or choose to play safe with your technology and safe surroundings ...
Definitely accept! Wilderness here I come and about to leave in a few hours though not as remote as the places you have listed here in this post yet still no running water and we more than likely will not be putting in the electrical fuses. The box heater will be filled with tree logs, giving a bit of warmth and Ahh sweet away from the complications that technology and safe surroundings brings. Our wildnreness place is home to black bears though few and off into the back distant hills they occupy. Coyotes will just allow only us a glimpse of their presence. Deer roam wild and free... it is the place I used to share in talks with you. Escape YES! for life grows so complicated with the "things" that folks seem to think they "need" when the truly what is needed is that which causes us to face life at its most rawness, not all glossied over as it were with the "stuff." You know all the games. In the escape it is being confronted with what and who we really are it seems and what we are made of... Take Care Alex and here is to hoping that one day that dream of yours comes alive for you. Connie
Well it seems as though no one has an adventurous bone in their body still that's definately a good thing, as it leaves more room for those of us who crave the wild places.
i wish i could escape to rome italy to be with my love.
che amore signora ahh but there's too many people though....I crave solitude
I just wanna be on my own Island sometimes - destitute and damn lonely! with plenty of food and water and bouncing castles obviously!
...and the problem with folks who get to having an adventerous bone with NO forethought of the behaviour that is required of them before entering into Wildnerness is appalling. I have never felt so dismayed as I have with this Trip far into North Wildnerness Country. The last two-three hours drive into our place really needs to be taken with extra thought regarding the wildlife. They are not fensed inside of preserves rather roam freely. The problem is with drivers who insist at going at speeds to whereby when say for example, deers come out and many times leap over the roads, the drivers are unable to stop in time and thereby run into these magnificant Creatures. Must have been all of a dozen deer one by one over a 100 mile stretch....along the the road lifeless... Thankfully Live Deers were in close promixity. I guess it is that some folks are in such the hurry going nowhere that they would rather simply speed along taking no care rather than taking the time necesary to simply stop and allow for Creatures of the Wild to simply pass and in their timing... Wilderness speaks of in the getting away from "civilization" of becomming one with nature and working in harmony with.
Bouncy castles hmm dare I ask...why? though the idea is certainly intriuging
In this book Ardeth has of scene s of Scotlands stunning wilderness there is a picture of a stormy mountinous Inverpolly, with 1 lonely little house, on a desolate stretch of single track road and we both want to live there, it really is miles from anywhere...or in a lighthouse on the windswept shore of Lochinver where near constant force 9 Atlantic gales, batter the coastline...che paradiso!
